Many people are interested in the health benefits and weight loss possibilities inherent in doing a body cleanse. Most people go through all the work of sticking to a diet and gargling the salt water and all that. But few are willing to take some of the most basic steps necessary to really allow your body to get rid of those toxins.
Your body has its own natural methods for detoxing, not the least of which is sweating. Your pores get rid of fatty oils and toxic residues all the time. The blood stream can deliver excess garbage as it passes by and the skin pores will excrete them without these particular oils having to go through the liver or colon at all.
For this reason, it isn’t just dieting and colon cleansing that creates a full, natural body cleanse. You also have to exercise a bit. I know. That sucks. But you should be doing it anyway! J If you’re really averse to getting your blood pumping, you can spend time in a spa or sauna where the heat and humidity will get your pores to loosen up and expel a lot of poison from your bloodstream. And it’s really relaxing.
Much of the cause for adolescent acne stems from the facial pores expelling a great deal of new toxins from the bloodstream, a side effect of the new hormones kicking in. Some call it a myth that excessively drinking sodas or eating sweets during the teen years can contribute to acne. While this isn’t the end-all cure or cause of those angsty teen trauma years, there is certainly some truth in the amount of new oils coming through the pores.
Keeping the skin clean (routinely removing the expelled toxins) helps move the natural process along and keep the whole body, and surface skin, clean and clear.
So while you’re clearing out the internal workings, find ways to run, jog, or exercise to keep sweating out the toxins built up over time.
